About Roeder Ridge

Our Family Homestead Story

Roeder Ridge is more than just land; it is the prayer of a dream to live a life that is well tended rather than just busy. For years, my world was defined by fast-paced energy, but I found my heart constantly drifting toward the simple magic of a crisp, slow morning sunrise, and a rising loaf of bread. We started this homestead to create a soft place for our family, rooted deeply in God and the beautiful outdoors. A place where the dirt under our fingernails tells a story of hard work and the kitchen table serves as the heartbeat of our home.

This is our invitation to slow down, to return to the roots of heritage skills, and rediscover the wonder that happens when we trade the hustle for the harvest!

MEET THE Owners

Hey, We are the Roeders!

At it's heart, Roeder Ridge was born from the deep desire to slow down and trade the busy schedule for the rhythmic, intentional pace of the land. After years of pouring into the beauty industry, the pull toward home—to the dirt, the kitchen, and our three young children—became too strong to ignore. We wanted to build a sanctuary where our kids could grow up with stained hands and curious hearts, learning the value of a hard day’s work and the magic of watching a seed become a meal. Roeder Ridge isn't just a business for us; it’s our way of returning to what matters most, creating a legacy of self-sufficiency and wonder that we can share with our community.

The Flock: The homestead is home to a growing flock of Khaki Campbell ducks, chosen specifically for their incredible egg-laying abilities and hardy personalities.

From Scratch & Stone: Our foundation is built on the art of heritage baking and canning, turning seasonal harvests into handmade bread and preserved goods that taste like home.

Rooted In Education: Beyond the farm, we are dedicated to homeschooling and nature-led learning, envisioning a future where the "classroom" is found in the forest and the homestead.

Fun Facts About

The Roeders

I have a particular soft spot for our Khaki Campbell ducks—their quirky personalities and busy energy make them the perfect mascots for the ridge.

There is nothing more satisfying to me than a pantry full of homemade spaghetti sauce; it’s my favorite way to bottle up the summer harvest.

I am a multi-passionate entrepreneur who also homeschool her children and finds just as much joy in a perfectly executed workshop as I do in a perfectly flaked pie crust.

At the center of everything we do are the people who make this house a home. I’m lucky enough to walk this wild path alongside my husband, my partner in every big idea and the one who helps me turn my homestead dreams into a reality. Together, we are raising three adventurous young children—our son, Tripp, and his two sisters, Marlowe & Lettie—who are the primary reason we chose this life. You’ll usually find them collecting eggs or helping in the kitchen. As we continue to homeschool, our goal is to ensure their childhood is defined by the outdoors, the animals, and the freedom to learn through play and discovery.

ROOTED IN FAITH ✶ A HEART FOR FAMILY ✶

A HOME FOR OUR COMMUNITY

Rooted In Tradition

Growing for the Future

Looking toward the horizon, our vision for Roeder Ridge is one of steady growth and deep-seated purpose. While our dreams for the homestead continue to expand—from the future of our farm school to the sustainable building of our family home—we remain firmly rooted in the traditions that have guided generations before us. We believe that by honoring the old ways of heritage baking, seasonal living, and faith-led stewardship, we are planting the seeds for a resilient future for our children and our community. We don’t just want to grow food; we want to grow a movement of intentionality right here in Wisconsin, proving that a life built on slow rhythms and strong values is not only possible but beautiful.
